David has 22 years’ experience working with Irish Technology companies. He holds a Business degree from Trinity College Dublin, as well as an M.Sc in Information Systems from the London School of Economics. David originally worked for five years as an Information Systems Consultant with AHC Systems , an IT Consultancy company owned at the time by Emydex’s present Chairman, Tony Connolly. After a year working as a Strategic Projects Manager with Vodafone Ireland, David went on to work for eight years as General Manager of Labyrinth Ltd, Ireland’s leading web development agency at the time, later acquired by BT
David joined Emydex Technology in 2009. He took over as Emydex CEO in 2010, when Emydex co-founder Redmond Burke retired. Since then David has overseen Emydex growth in company headcount to over 40 people, revenue growth of over 500% as well as the company’s entry into new global markets including Africa, Australasia and North America.

James has 22 years’ experience in designing and implementing software solutions for food processing companies in Ireland and the UK. He holds an Electronic Engineering degree from Trinity College Dublin, where he specialised in Process Control Engineering as well as Computer Science.
James joined Scanvaegt Ireland (now Marel) in 1993 where he worked as a software engineer and systems architect for over 7 years, designing and implementing software systems for food processing companies. He later worked with Case New Holland (CNH) for 4 years as the lead software developer on an Advanced Production Scheduling system. Spotting a gap in the marketplace, James with Redmond Burke established Emydex in 2004, building a brand new software platform specifically designed for the meat, fish and food processing industries.

Tony has over 26 years’ experience in designing and implementing business systems. Tony holds a B.Comm from University College Dublin, as well as a Diploma in Systems Analysis from Trinity College Dublin. Tony sits on the IT Advisory Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ireland and was a founding member of Business Reporting Ireland. Tony is CEO of AccountsIQ a Cloud Accounting and business application specifically designed for multi-entity environments.
Tony has sat on the board of Emydex as Chairman and a Non-Executive Director and since 2006. He previously worked with Emydex CEO David McMahon for 5 years in the early 90’s when David worked as an Information Systems consultant in Tony’s IT Consultancy company advising both Semi-state and large commercial enterprises in Ireland on their IT system strategies.
