“Due to customer demands for full traceability Interfrigo teamed up with Emydex in 2010 to build a Warehouse Management system tailored to suit Interfrigo’ s business needs. This enabled Interfrigo to offer its customers complete traceability and transparency when moving their stock through the cold store process, from blast freezing, pallet rebuild to dispatch. This put Interfrigo in a unique position to offer full case level traceability from farm to frozen dispatch.
Operationally scanner and fork truck software was built enabling Interfrigo the ability to monitor and move stock more efficiently through the warehouse, capturing each stock movement through the process.
Since we have joined up with Emydex back in 2010 it has given us and our customers the confidence to grow and storage capacity has doubled from 10, 000 pallet spaces to 20,000. This wouldn’t have been possible without the flexibility and understanding shown by Emydex in helping Interfrigo expand and move forward. We look forward to many more years of working together.”

Interfrigo is the largest independent cold store in Northern Ireland, operating a 136,000 sq ft state-of-the-art cold store with storage capacity for 20,000 pallets.
Interfrigo provides third party cold storage for a number of local and international food producers, including many of Emydex’s food processing customers. With Emydex’s ‘Intersite-transfers’ feature, Interfrigo customers also running Emydex are able to dispatch and trace shipments into and out of the Interfrigo Cold Store seamlessly.
