Vivers Scotlamb is a lamb processing company based in Annan, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. The company operates a dedicated lamb processing facility supplying customers across the UK and European markets.
In early March, Vivers Scotlamb successfully went live with the Emydex Industry Standard platform for Primary Processing, marking an important step in its transition away from a legacy in-house system that had become increasingly difficult to maintain and support.

Challenge
Vivers Scotlamb had been operating with a legacy in-house system that had become increasingly difficult to support and maintain over time.
As operational requirements evolved, the company required a more sustainable solution capable of supporting its livestock processing activities while providing a foundation for future expansion.
Solution
Emydex implemented its Industry Standard platform for Primary Processing at the Vivers Scotlamb facility.
The initial deployment focused on key livestock handling processes, including:
- Lairage management
- Livestock grading
This first phase provided a modern platform to support primary processing operations while enabling a structured transition away from the previous system.
Outcome
The successful go-live established a modern digital foundation for managing primary processing operations at Vivers Scotlamb.
Following the initial deployment, the project will continue with a phased rollout across additional areas of the plant, including:
- Supplier Payments
- Carcase Despatch
- Boning
- Packing
- Sales Order Picking
This phased approach supports the progressive expansion of the system across plant operations while ensuring a controlled transition from the legacy platform.
