Based in Sioux Center, Iowa, Vande Berg Scales has supported the meat, dairy and food industries for more than 60 years.
Its solutions include checkweighers, conveyor scales, labelling systems, grading technology, Trolley Vision and truck scales. VBS also designs, installs and services its equipment, giving processors access to experienced technical support throughout the lifecycle of their systems.

Proven Integration at Sustainable Beef
Emydex and VBS already work together at Sustainable Beef, one of the newest beef processing facilities in the United States.
Emydex’s Production Management and Quality Management systems went live at the North Platte, Nebraska facility in 2025. The Emydex platform integrates with VBS weighing and labelling equipment, MEQ grading technology and the plant’s ERP system.
These integrations allow carcass grading, production weights, box weights and label information to move accurately through the operation in real time, from the kill floor through to packing and dispatch.
This connected approach has supported Sustainable Beef as it has increased production, recently surpassing 1,500 head processed in a single day.
