Merlin Joy: From Application Support Engineer to Global Leader
Merlin’s journey with Emydex began five years ago as an Application Support Engineer. Through dedication and a passion for continuous learning, she has progressed to her current role as Global Application Support Manager. Reflecting on her time at Emydex, Merlin shares:
“As I celebrate my 5th anniversary with Emydex, I can’t help but reflect on the incredible journey I’ve had so far. Starting as an Application Support Engineer and progressing to my current role as Global Application Support Manager has been nothing short of rewarding.
What I love most about Emydex is the flexibility, the collaborative and supportive team, and the numerous opportunities for growth and evolution. Coming from a technical background, stepping into management has been a big and exciting shift—one that has pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me develop new skills and evolve both personally and professionally.
What makes Emydex stand out is the continuous learning environment. There’s something new to learn every day, and that keeps me motivated and excited about the work I do.
I’m truly thankful for everything I’ve achieved here and for being part of a company that supports growth, innovation, and development.”
Valerio Ferreira: Building Excellence Amidst Challenges
Valerio joined Emydex five years ago, relocating to Ireland and starting his journey during a global lockdown. Despite the challenges, he found a supportive and collaborative environment that enabled him to excel. Valerio reflects:
“Five years working at Emydex is a great achievement in my career. When I started, I moved to Ireland, and then the world was in lockdown. It was a crazy world outside, but what I found at Emydex is a friendly and cooperative environment.
The team is amazing—a collaborative group of skilled developers working together to build a high-quality product. Supportive managers in a flat hierarchy provide the best work conditions.
