Livestock Buyer Appointments
Ability to capture livestock booking appointments directly into Emydex system which then allows for livestock planning against the forecast for different livestock categories.
Delivery & Pen Management
Receive livestock deliveries with or without appointments and allow lairage staff to capture delivery details such as transport information, government information, dead on arrival, suspect etc. The Delivery process caters for RFID ear tags, passports and integrates with the countries national livestock databases such as AIMS, ScotEID, NLIS, NAIT, CCIA.
Sequencing
Sequencing can be based using lots and/or using individual animal records. Increase operator efficiency and accuracy with the ability to use RFID wands or barcode scanners to sequence the animal with inbuilt and customisable validations. This can be extended to include live weight reading, blood collection and stun data capture.
VET Inspections
Emydex VET inspection functionality allows customers to capture VET defects in realtime. With the ability to capture, carcass, offal and head inspections.
Faults are flagged as a producer or factory faults which feed can into Emydex animal payments.
Classification & Grading
The Emydex kill line has market-specific classification processes to cater for the local industry jurisdiction. This allows customers across the globe to classify their carcasses using the factory floor terminal to capture the required grading attributes, including weight and any characteristics allocated prior to grading. This will then create carcass inventory and allocate the carcass to a destination.
Animal Payments
The Emydex animal payments system allows customers to use the data captured to complete farmer settlements against kill lots. Emydex Animal payments system is able to cater for Farmer settlements, Service Kill and Sale Yard settlements. Within each payment, customers can allocate various adjustments based on the grading information, buying agent commissions, and use configurable price grids to complete the payment for a lot.
Chiller Management
Emydex is able to integrate directly to PLC’s to manage sortation of carcasses to chillers and/or rail locations within the factories automatically. Alternatively, Emydex are able to print chiller destinations on carcass tickets to improve chiller operators ability to sort accurately. This assists with the chiller callout to make the de-boning process more efficient. Emydex are also able to complete chiller regrading including, marbling, meat colour, PH decline carcass shrinkage.
Into Boning/BRI/Scan to Bone
Emydex Into Boning functionality allows customers to create into boning work orders which are then issued to the factory floor. Customers are able to utilise the Emydex carcass filter rules which validate carcass input against a configurable criteria matrix. The Emydex application can capture the exact cold weight of the carcass as it passes over the scale which allows customers to report on carcass shrinkage/loss. These transactions are also used as the input for Yield Reporting.
Packing & Processing
The Emydex packing and processing module allows customers to manage all aspects of their packing process which includes the ability to execute pack/case/pallet labelling, pack to sales orders or direct to stock. Emydex is also able to integrate to Automatic weigh price labelling (WPL) machines to control master data, batch runs and machine statistics which allows for real-time reporting within the Emydex application
