Emydex Recognised as One of Ireland’s Best Workplaces for Health & Wellbeing 2026 by Great Place to Work

Emydex Technology is proud to be recognised as one of Ireland’s Best Workplaces for Health & Wellbeing 2026, awarded by Great Place to Work®.

This recognition is based on employee feedback and is part of the global Best Workplaces methodology. It highlights organisations that support employee health, mental wellbeing and a balanced working environment.

Wellbeing in action across our teams

Over the past 12 months, wellbeing at Emydex has been reflected in the way our teams spend time together, both inside and outside of work.

Across the year, our colleagues have taken part in more than six runs together, alongside several hikes and a range of informal activities that bring people together in a more relaxed way. From friendly games in the office to shared moments outside of it, these experiences have become a natural part of how our teams connect.

Some of these moments have also taken place internationally. This includes travelling to Lübeck to take part in the Lübeck Marathon alongside colleagues and our partners at BAADER, combining a shared challenge with the opportunity to strengthen relationships across teams.

One of the highlights this year was Emydex Move 26, a global wellbeing challenge that encouraged employees to stay active and build healthy habits. Colleagues from across our teams, not only in Ireland but around the world, logged their activities and took part together. It created a strong sense of shared momentum and was a great way to start the year.

The everyday environment matters

Back in the office, it is often the small things that make a difference.

A quick game of pool or darts, taking a break to catch up with colleagues, or having fresh fruit available throughout the day all contribute to a more balanced and enjoyable working environment.

We also support our teams through regular health initiatives, encouraging everyone to take a proactive approach to their wellbeing.

Being recognised as one of Ireland’s Best Workplaces for Health & Wellbeing reflects the experience our teams have every day. It comes from consistency, shared experiences and a culture where people feel supported and comfortable doing their best work.

In 2025, Emydex Technology Ltd achieved an 80% positive rating—a significant increase from 73% in 2024. Even more impressively, all four of our subsidiaries located in Ireland, North America, Australia, and New Zealand independently qualified as Great Places to Work. The GPTW survey, which saw an impressive 90% employee response rate, revealed improvements across all 17 dimensions assessed. These results reflect the collective efforts of our teams and leadership to enhance the employee experience at every level.

In addition to year-on-year improvements, the survey also highlighted areas where our people already show exceptionally high levels of trust and satisfaction. These results demonstrate the strong cultural foundations that make Emydex a Great Place to Work.

  • 100% say people are treated fairly regardless of age

  • 96% feel welcome when joining Emydex

  • 94% believe management is honest and ethical

  • 92% feel at home when moving between jobs or units

These findings underline our commitment to fairness, inclusivity and integrity, ensuring that every member of Team Emydex feels valued and supported from day one.

5th Year in a row at Deloitte Fast 50 Awards

Emydex Technology Fast 50 Award 2016

Emydex Technology are delighted to be included in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Awards for the 5th year in a row, achieving some 528% cumulative growth in revenue since the first year entered.

The awards, which are in their seventeenth year in Ireland, recognise the contribution of indigenous companies to the overall technology sector in Ireland, and indeed the overall economy. Cumulatively, the 2016 Fast 50 winners generated approximately €1.6 billion in total annual revenues in 2015.

Emydex supply Factory Floor Software systems to market leading Meat, Fish and Food Processing companies around the world. Today Emydex’s Production Management Software is running in over 80 processing plants, spread across Ireland, the UK, Europe, Southern Africa and Australasia.

David McMahon, Emydex CEO attributes ongoing success to global expansion “Today Emydex are signing up more International customers than domestic ones, seven new customers in 2016 include companies in Australia, South Africa, Canada and the Philippines.”

The awards took place in the Double Tree by Hilton Dublin, on Friday 04th November 2016. Joan O’Connor, Partner, Deloitte said “We are delighted to be recognising these exceptional and innovative Irish companies. Their contribution to the technology sector is critical to the success of the industry overall in Ireland and it is clear from the turnover derived from exports that they are having considerable success in global markets also. This ambition is hugely encouraging to see and will be increasingly important in a post-Brexit marketplace, where pressure on margins may necessitate diversification into other markets. For this reason, and due to the wealth of opportunity that presents itself, we expect developed and emerging markets to be increasingly important for Irish technology companies. The success that has been achieved to date by the indigenous technology sector leaves them well placed to capitalise on this momentum.”
