System Features
Kill Plan, Appointments & Bookings
Use the Emydex system to plan kill numbers for configurable livestock categories. Match the plan against livestock bookings that are entered into Emydex to view what is left to be procured for different planning horizons.
Government Database Integration
The Emydex system can integrate with the relevant government systems to ensure compliance for animal tracing and identification. Some of our existing integrations include:
- Animal Identification & Movement (AIMS) – Ireland
- ScottEid – Scotland
- Cattle Tracing System (CTS) – Great Britain
- National Livestock Identification System (NLIS) – Australia
- National Animal Identification & Tracing (NAIT) – New Zealand
- Canadian Livestock Tracking System (CLTS) – Canada
Livestock Delivery
The Emydex system can be installed at the unloading ramps and can cater for RFID, barcode scanning or manual capture of delivered ear tags. With the ability to capture multiple lots against a delivery, operators can capture quality details such as, dead on arrival, condemned on arrival, number of slips/falls etc. The deliveries can then be allocated to pens and lots created.
Kill Agenda
Customers can use the Emydex kill agenda to prioritize the order that lots are killed. These lots can be sorted based on potential contamination/cleanliness levels or sorted manually based on other factors. Lots can be split or merged and details such as condemn etc can be updated.
Sequencing
Emydex sequencing process registers the death of the animal in the Emydex system. At this point, if animals are uniquely identified by ear tags or are a mob of animals, a unique Emydex body number is allocated. Defects and downgrades can be captured at this point. The Emydex system can also integrate with stunning devices to capture stunning metrics against individual bodies.
VET inspection
Emydex software allows customers to capture VET carcass/offal/head inspection faults and defects against individual animals for in real-time. Defects are set up as producer or factory faults and can be used to adjust livestock payments. These VET inspection terminals can also have the ability to condemn carcasses or offal products. Carcasses can be flagged for re-inspection.
Hides & Skins
The Emydex system can maintain the inventory of hides and skins captured from the kill floor with traceability to the individual carcass if required. Capture & report on defects against skins to improve skin quality.
Re-inspection
Capture re-inspection information against individual bodies and choose to weigh or simply record removed defects and corrective actions. Report on KPI’s for issues and trend the most commonly occurring issues.
Classification
Emydex system can classify all species of meat and poultry following local classification regulations. Emydex system can generate destinations which can be used for grouping animals to improve sortation efficiency and accuracy and assist chiller pull out process.
PLC Integration
The Emydex system can enable automation by fully integrating to PLC’s to control the routing of carcasses throughout processes including stunning capture, automatic chiller sortation etc.
Animal Payments
The animal payment system can cater for various payment processes including direct to farmer, sale yards by using pricing grids, and settlement schemes. Allocate adjustments to payments based on processing information such as deductions for recorded faults, transport etc.
